2021 OPENS WITH OPTIMISM
The 2021 69th Pa Calendar of Events
Calendar year 2020 saw the cancellation of almost all of the major events  in Civil War reenactment
due to the covid 19 pandemic. The 69th Pa was fortunate to have been able to do one each of our
traditional mixed collection of activities. We
WERE able to participate in a Civil War encampment /
mock battle / "Living History event at Cold Spring Village in Cape May New Jersey. We
WERE able
to hold cemetery ceremonies to dedicate the gravesites of 5 men who fought with the regiment during
the Civil War including our commander at the end of the war Lt. Col. William Davis (who had never
had a gravestone before we placed one). And most importantly, we
WERE able to gather in
Gettysburg to honor our 21 men buried at the cemetery there and to march to our 69th regimental
monument to honor our battle veterans by muster roll.
We overcame the challenge and did our task.

The year 2021 awaits and we will see if we can meet the challenge again. Much is on our plate.
We still have six gravestones which have been placed in Philadelphia area cemeteries with our funds
which await dedication. We still have another 5 graves sites to finance. We await the development of
new opportunities to reenact, educate and sell our wares to finance our efforts.
