Cold Spring Village, Cape May NJ
     Civil War Weekend
Once again for the second time this year the 69th Pa "Irish Volunteers" journeyed to Cold
Spring Village in Cape May NJ as part of Civil War Weekend. Nineteen soldiers and
civilians pitched camp and provided education to hundreds of visitors. A pitched battle on
Saturday and Sunday saw the irishmen assault the rebel left flank with "street fighting
order" and thunderous volley. In the evening the camp was fileld with conversation, song
and feating on pulled pork, clams and crabs plus the usdual libations. Rain on Saturday
evening failed to dampen our spirits as a fine time was had by all.
