HOLLY CROSS CEMETERY GRAVES 2017
           MCGARRITY CEREMONY
For many years we have been aware of 69th Pa veterans buried in family plots at Holy Cross
Cemetery in Yeadon Pa.  This year we placed our first regimental stone at Holy Cross with
others to follow. On the morning of April 23, 2017 members of the 69th Pa "Irish Volunteers"
gathered at the cemetery to place  Irish soil and honor five lads who served with the 69th
during the war including our newest  gravestone for 1st Lieutenant Thomas Paul Norman.
Following the ceremonies many members stayed for the annual  Michael McGarrity
procession and ceremony at the same cemetery.
