Bentonville 150th March 2015
OUR TASK   The recreation of the Battle of Bentonville was coordinated on the
Federal side by the USV under the command of General Darrell Markijohn and his
staff. The role of the USV engineers was to map out the placement of infantry
trenchlines for both days battle and to coordinate the placement of infantry into
those trench positions. Each battle contained a major infantry trench line and a
secondary perpendicular trench. Upon arrival at the selected sites troops of the
Federal command dug trenches for their protection.
