On February 13-14 seventeen hardy members of the 69th Pa "Irish Volunteers" faced the
cold and snow and journeyed to Jim Thorpe,Pa for the annual Winterfest. They took
a collection of wooden rifles to train tourist children in the ways of the Civil War soldier.
Sharing the park with an ice sculptor they greeted visitors to the winter event.
