Langhorne Harvest Festival October 26
For the last several years members of the 69th Pa have attended the annual Langhorne Harvest
festival in  Bucks County to make our presence known to the community and to help raise funds for
the Gravestone project. The all day affairs features booths and information tables from wide variety
of groups. An estimated 5,000 visitors walked the length of Maple Street and observed the canopy
tents of both the 69th Pa and the Sons of Union Veterans. More than $400 was brought in through
sales of our tee shirts, books, music CD's and caps. The small team which attended spent a busy day
talking with the public, recruiting for new membership and  welcoming a number of descendants of
men who   fought with the 69th Pa "Irish Volunteers during the 1861 - 1865 struggle.
