Quakertown Day - Saturday July 4th
As most of the members of the 69th Pa prepared for departure to Gettysburg
for the 155th reenactment, a small group represented the regiment at the
annual Quakertown Fourth of July festivities in Bucks County. Setting up their
sales table at 7:00 AM the group braved a sunny, hit and humid day selling
tee shirts, caps, music CD's and books on 69th history. The funds raised will
go to pay for the installation of new gravestones to mark the burial place of
our regiments Civil War veterans. Musket fire drew spectators to learn about
our regiment as we marked Fourth of July with another community activity.
