Independence Day July 4
   2019 Quakertown, Pa
The 69th Pa was once again invited by the Boro of Quakertown in Bucks County Pa. to
provide a ceremony at Quakertown Memorial Park at the site of the town's monument
to those who served in the Armed Services in America's Wars. Led by brevet Sergeant
Major David O'Daniel with the assistance of brevet First Sergeant Michael Ernsberger
a total of eleven soldiers and ladies of the 69th set up a camp at the park. On a hot
July day those assembled sold 69th tee shirts, caps, music CD's and Civil War books.
At noon the  69th unit marched through the event and to the monument location.
Corporal Alexis Long offered a prayer to servicemen from past wars and Brevet Sergeant
Major O'Daniel provides a dedication and a poem to those assembled.
During the day many visitors stopped in camp to learn about the 69th and the US Civi
War 1861-1865; several descendants were met and the 69th "Gravestone Project"
introduced. Andrea Ashcroft provided female visitors with a female perspective.
