Saint Anne's Gravestone Ceremony
The final resting place of yet another veteran of the 69th Pa was located and
honored at the Saint Anne's cemetery in Kensington / Philadelphia. The grave
of First Lieutenant Michael Trainer of company F was established without a
gravestone in 1877 along East Lehigh Avenue at Saint Anne's cemetery.
On a rainy day, May 19, members of the 69th had promised the church officials
that they would provide a color guard, volley squad and a history speaker.
